Carrot is the healthy subji in winter. We like it more . We can make Subji, Koshimbir, Halwa from it . We can make 100 types of food from carrot . If you want make sweet , we can make it easily .If you want to make it tasty and delicious we can make it .

Today I decided to make Subji of carrot . Do you know this subji is a daily food but it can make tremendous difference in our daily life. Means if our Subji is tasty then we can eat anything comfortably and vice Versa.

Carrot subji we can make in so many ways but today I have decided to make in this way .

Carrot 3 big size [well chopped]

Fenugreek leaves 2 bowls well chopped

coriander leaves 2 tbsp

gram dal pieces 1 bowl [soaked ]

Oil 1/4 bowl [small]

mustard seeds 1 tbsp

cumin powder 1 tbsp

garlic paste 1/2 tbsp

garam masala 1 , 1/2 tbsp

chilly powder 1 tbsp

turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp

salt 2 tbsp

water [hot] As your convenience but to cook the dal must need 3 bowl water.

PROCEDURE FOR IT. : Take the washed carrots , cut it in to small pieces and keep aside.

Cut the Methi and keep aside .

Keep the GramDal tukada to soak half an hour before making subji .

Chop the coriander and mix it in the Methi leaves .

: Now keep the pan on the gas, pour oil to it , add mustard seeds and wait to splutter.

Now slowly add pieces of chopped carrot and Methi leaves and stir it well.

Now add soaked Gram tukada dal to it , add garam masala, chilly powder, salt to it.

Stir it well , add hot water to cook the dal well .

Keep the lid on it to get the nice steam .

Now put off the gas your well prepared Carrot , Methi Subji is ready to serve .

Serve it with chapati or Roti , it gives good taste with Jowar Roti.

Dal  :   1 & 1/2 bowl 

Methi seeds    2 tbsp

mango pieces   1/2 bowl [small]

Jaggary  2 bowls

Oil     1/4 bowl

chilly powder    2 tbsp

pieces of chilly[red]   4 to 5

cumin seeds 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds  1 tbsp

Hing     1 pinch

turmeric powder 1 teas

salt    as your convenience

coriander   2 tbsp [well chopped ]

PROCEDURE FOR IT :  Keep the dal to cook in a small cooker along with turmeric  powder  1 teas oil ,  add some Fenugreek seeds to it.  

                  :   Take 2 to 3 whistles of it &put off the gas . 

                           : Add 2 glass hot water to it . 

                                   : Stir it well , add salt to it . 

  •     ;  keep the pan on the gas, Pour oil to it , add cumin                              seeds,   mustard seeds  and wait to splutter it . 

            :Now add  curry leaves, chilly [red chilly pieces] , red chilly                             powder   , pinch of hing etc .       

              ;  Pour slowly liquid Dal to it . Now add jaggary , coriander to it. 

                      : Boil it for a while.     

INSTRUCTION : Don’t boil more time this Dal. This will reduce the taste of Dal.

If you want to buy original Fenugreek Methi here is the way how to know it is original.? Generally, we go to vegetable market. I like to go in the vegetable market so that I could know what is the real situation in the market? How did farmer is facing difficulties to bring his vegetable in the market? What’s rate is getting to the farmer for his vegetables? How did he is making struggle to sell his vegetable? How people are buying vegetables from the vendors? How much they are making inquiry to buy 10 Rs vegetable? etc .


Do you know our Indian people’s strategy in the Indian people market? When they will go in the stationary shop to bring jewelry , if that jewelry has price of 500 Rs , but he has kept it for 1000 Rs then our people didn’t make any inquiry there .They are giving quietly 1000 Rs for the Jewelry , But the vendor who is getting up in the morning at 5 0 clock to sell his vegetables coming with rush in the market to complete our basic important needs. Well prepared Methi [bharad] subji : 250 gm

soaked gram dal 1 bowl

Homemade metkut 1/2 bowl

basen flour 2 tabs

coriander 2 tabs

green chilly 3 to 4

garlic flakes 3 to 4

chilly powder 1 tbsp

cumin powder 1 tbsp

salt 2 tbsp

Methi powder 1/2 teas

soda 1 teas

oil to fry 250 gm

PROCEDURE FOR IT : Keep the gram dal to soak before making 5 to 6 hours.

After soaking add soaked gram dal to grind it in the mixture jar as like paste and keep aside.

: Make the paste of green chilly, garlic flakes , coriander and keep aside.

Now take the Bharad subji in the thali , add ground gram paste, basen flour, home made metkut etc .

: Now add coriander leaves, salt, chilly powder, paste of garlic and green chilly, a pinch of hing , 1 teas bicarbonate soda , cumin powder, turmeric powder etc .

: Mix it properly , make its Kabab and keep aside to fry it well.

: Keep the pan on the gas , pour oil to it add one by one Kabab to it for frying : Fry it well. All Kabab’s gives very nice taste .

: Serve it with mango pickle or with any chutney.
